Yes, the full moon approaches, and that means that the Miami Beach full moon circle is around the corner.
Check the full moon page for more info.
Have in mind, respect the beach and everybody around you [ Even the people that would enjoy it the morning after the percussion feast] and be careful with the things you take to the beach. Trashcans can be full, and leaving dangerous glass and aluminum cans on the sand is not an option.
Also, Earthdance is this weekend. Saturday September 13 from 9 pm http://www.myspace.com/earthdancemiami
There’s a $20 charge fee, I think is less if you RSVP. Many good local bands play that night, their page doesn’t mention anything about a drum circle… hope someone can clarify this!
and last,
I’m posting a new page with all the videos produced for the blog. Hope to have more time to produce a couple more. Have fun this weekend, take care.

In addition to the Miami Beach gatherings, Michael from the SFDCC Newsletter reports:
Unity on the Bay – Full Moon Drum Circle FRIDAY, JULY 18th from 7 to 9PM – fee $10
Coordinated by Carlos Manuel Planas and Jude Byrne.
We meet in a church, have a spiritually-flavored drum circle, and therefore have a zero tolerance drug and alcohol scene. We want to create a non-threatening safe space, a family atmosphere. We believe that the music on its own creates a healing, natural high, so artificial ingredients are not needed in this environment. All instruments are welcome. People show up with djembes, doumbeks, congas,
etc. Latin rhythms may predominate, but all rhythms are welcome.
Held at: Unity on the Bay Church, 411 NE 21st St., Miami FL, near Biscayne Bay

Mark Richards reminds us, gently souls of Dade county:
Some drummers may be getting together for Full Moon Eve and/or Full Moon Night on the beach at 75th street & Collins. This is not an organized event, so there are no guarantees. All I can say is that if I could get off work tonight, the beach at 75th & Collins is where I would be with my drum.
and last but not least, June 21st:
Every Last Saturday of the month Starting June 21st from 7PM till 1AM at Tobacco Road 626 south miami ave.Downtown Miami Join this band of gypsies and bring out your tambourines, djembes,
doumbeks, didgeridoos and whatever else you got for this Multicultural fusion of art, music and dance.
The Gypsy Village is a group of mystical vendors and artists who Together create a world tribe ambience which makes for a dynamic night of culture, spirituality and oneness.
This event is free before 9pm and has a $5.00 cover charge afterwards.
Tobacco road, Miami’s oldest bar is hosting Full moon drum circles! Tobacco Road
This comes as a good surprise because of all the problems that have been happening at the Miami beach full moon drum circle. Seems like all musicians willing to attend the full moon party there, have to sing-up on their website for free access for the full moon day.
It seems like a very convenient option, since tobacco road is very close to Brickell and Downtown with lots of parking spaces…
