Last Quarter Moon Drum Circle Sunday December 26, 2010 – 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm Unitarian Universalist Church of Ft. Lauderdale. 3970 NW 21st Ave. (between Commercial and Oakland Park) Oakland Park, Fl 33309 954-484-6734 Rain or Shine there will be a Drum Circle. The fire tender will build an awesome fire in the fire pit in the back yard. Drumming will be around the fire – BYO seating. Bring your Drums, or any Percussion/Musical instrument (bucket, can, wooden spoons whatever you have). BYO snacks and drinks of your choice. Bathrooms are available inside the Church. If there is rain or it is ‘hot and humid’ we will be drumming inside the Sanctuary. Sorry… no fire inside the Sanctuary
and as a treat for all of you drum lovers I wanted to thank Mark R for doing such a great recording of the Virginia Key drum circle – I’m including the audio from the event that he captured and uploaded to archive.org. And last but not least, a little video from the same event captured while playing a djembe – Don’t do it at home, leave that to the professionals!

This full moon drum circle is growing with amazing vibes. Doors close at 6:30 PM so I suggest you get in the park before that. This is a 3 hs event, so enjoy it wisely 🙂
This is a Drug Free, Alcohol Free, Smoke Free event. This is a Hand-Drum circle. Frame drums and the bottom end bass drums like dunns or surdos are welcome, but please leave the timbales, snares and drum sets at home for this one.

Saturday, November 20 · 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Be sure to get inside the park at 6PM since park doors close at 6:30PM This is a Drug Free, Alcohol Free, Smoke Free event.

Delou presents this weekend for the first time: The Inagural African Diaspora festival at Little Haiti Cultural Center 212-260 NE 59 Terr, Miami 305-960-2969. There will be a marketplace and a children’s village.

Elich Garcia and Antonio just arrived from Spain and they have set up a class schedule at Silva’s Studio.
[5533 Lagorce Dr Miami beach, FL] Starting this Saturday from 11 to 1, they will cover a variety of African rhythm as well as some latin music.
I’m going to go this weekend to check it out. Class cost $10.
