Lauderdale – 3970 NW 21st Ave. Oakland Park, Fl 33309 954-484-6734.Rain or Shine there will be a Drum Circle The fire tender will build an awesome fire in the fire pit in the back yard. Bring your own seating.
Bring your Drums, or any Percussion/Musical instrument (bucket, can, wooden spoons whatever you have).
BYO snacks and drinks of your choice. Bathrooms are available inside the Church. If there is rain we will be drumming inside the Sanctuary. Sorry… no fire inside the Sanctuary

Sunday drum church would hold another rhythmic session:
Sunday Drum Service, March 7, 2010 – 10:00am – 12:00pm – AD Barnes Park – clearing near Nature Center (or fallback location – below) – 3401 SW 72 Avenue – northeast corner of Bird Rd and 72 Ave Miami, Fl.

Both places have limited seating, so you may want to bring your own.

That’s right, and that’s why we’re having another exclusive class this Sunday 28th at 11:30. Matthew extended his stay enough to accommodate another class next Sunday morning. Class would be held at Silva’s studio at 5533 La Gorce Dr. Miami Beach, FL . Class cost $15

Full moon drum circle, this Sunday February 28th on the silky smooth beaches of Miami beach, South Florida.

And last but not least, Bagua drum circle this Friday 26 of February at 9 PM. 4736 NE 2nd Ave Miami, FL. Come and join on. We’ll drum on the back garden.

Finally we have all setup for Matthew’s Workshop. A big thanks goes to Joe Teskie, Gene Shapiro, Silva and Mark Richards for making this a reality.
Write down on you calendar, Sunday 21st at 11:30 AM Will have a one of a kind workshop with Matthew Hill who is traveling from New York for the class. If you don’t Matthew’s inspiring musical work, take a look at the video posted on miamidrums two years ago here:

The workshop would go over some basic and not so basic rhythm of West African music. Bring your drum and your chair. Workshop would be 1:30 Hs long and is hosted on Silva’s studios:

Also,
Stay Tune for Matthew Hill’s workshop. Sunday 21st, February morning. Time to be established at Miami beach studio. There’s going to be two workshops, beginners and not so beginners. One class would be immediately after the other and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your drum. Class cost is $15.
Take advantage of this class, Matthew is an excellent teacher and musician.
Check out the video I did with him while he was still in South Florida, before going back to Africa and moving to NY.

Friday’s Rhythmic Values of the Soul Drum Circle – Friday 8th of January, at 9PM – Le Cafe 7295 Biscayne Blvd Miami, FL. We will have the fire pits in the parking lot, so please do not park in the area marked off for the drum circle. Le Cafe has a full menu for those who would like to come for dinner before the drum circle.

Delou drum classes at FIU

Broward drum circle this Saturday and the upcoming Monthly Last Quarter Moon Drum Circle with Fire to Celebrate Last Quarter Moon. — Dec 7

Bring yourself, bring your drum, Bring your dancing feet! Come and lay your rhythms down, ‘Cause we’re taking it to the street!

Seating and shelter are provided by the Mad Hatter Art Festival.
This is an Open Drum Circle – drums, flutes, zils and hoops are welcome.
Also this weekend, Delou African Ensemble continues classes at FIU campus and like every weekend Broward drum circle.

Also there’s a drum circle and picnic at Amelia Earhart Park at the “old beach” area for “dead day” or as is known in Mexico, “El día de los muertos”. Address is 401 E 65th Street, the park charges $6 per car to get in. Bring something yummy to share.

I haven’t attended to Carlos Plana’s Drum Circle at Unity on the Bay Monday November 2, 2009 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Unity on the Bay, Cameron House 411 NE 21. Street, Miami, FL. If you tell us how was the experience!

Last but not least, the Broward drum circle this Sunday, check the times because they have changed, and of course the Full moon drum circle on Miami beach on Monday the 2nd of November.

This next Friday 28th of August Bagua Drum circle:
This a young drum circle that has been growing steadily through out the months. Nice garden behind the store. If weather is bad, drum circle transforms into a more intimate indoor music jam.

News from Clint from Paralounge:
Paralounge Drum Gathering – October 16-18, 2009 – At the Cerveny Conference Center in Live Oak Florida on HWY 90.
Clint’s comments sound really exciting:
“Cerveny Conference Center is a beautiful facility on over 530 acres of pristine Florida woodlands. The facility is owned by the Episcapol Church but is not a religious institution. The facility is open to open to any responsible event. White Lake is at the center of the property and can be seen from the Conference area. It has been a lot larger but has suffered a bit from recent drought. It is still a large lake, but when the water comes back, it’s a really big lake.”
This sounds like an ideal place for Paralounge. $55.00 per person / Children 3 – 12 are $15.00
The price includes primitive camping October 16,17 2009. The price also includes all workshops and performances. Meals are separate.
