Virginia Key Drum Circle + more drumming

Hey there,

This Saturday October 15th don’t miss the Virginia Key Full moon Drum circle. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, the full moon was last Monday/Tuesday, but nevertheless this is a great opportunity to get to play with your fellow drummers in the beautiful Virginia Key park. It starts at 7 PM.

The latest notices I got it says that parking is $5, it used to be free for drummers, I’d check out and post later on.
Be advised that showers and thunderstorms are expected for most of Saturday, so if weather is bad, don’t hesitate to go down there, the cover pavilion has serves well under bad weather conditions.

This is a Drug Free, Alcohol Free, Smoke Free event.

The Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. 4020 Virginia Beach Drive, Virginia Key in Miami, FL

Hello there!
I hope you’re ready since there are many interesting things to do this weekend, be aware of the scorching temperatures we’re experience here in South Florida. Some of this weekend activities are outdoors, so taking solar protection and enough water and hydration is always a good thing.

Mark Richards is inviting every drummer in town to a Drum Circle at Fairchild Tropical Garden’s Mango Festival this Saturday July 9, 2011 From 10:30-12:30 – Fairchild’s 19th Annual International Mango Festival will celebrate the Mangos of Hawaii. Seating will be provided and there will be a few extra drums on a first come, first serve basis. There are many activities to do at the Fairchild, here is the event’s schedule. There is an entrance fee to get into Fairchild, so you might consider staying for all the activities.

Then, you might want to experience an alternative type of  drumming, Buddy Helm is teaching this weekend only his very special Healing and meditation class. You might remember Buddy from the Paralaounge videos, see his drumming class video.
He’s teaching on Saturday at The Goddess Store – 8:00-10:00. 2017 Harrison St, Hollywood. Class costs $25
He’s also teaching the same class the following day for the Miami crowd at Mark’s house :4427 SW 16 St, Miami (please go around the block and park in the back of the house and come in through the back gate). Class costs $25

This Sunday you can attend the Hollywood drum circle. Check out the drum event calendar for more info about it.
And last but not least, as I mention last week, Delou is hosting a dinner fund raising after their community class schedule in the Little Haiti cultural center. 212 NE 59th Terrace Miami FL 33137. Drum class starts at 3 PM and fund raising would start at 4:30 tasty african cuisine offering a variety of meat, vegetarian & vegan dishes!  Suggested donation of $10
I’m sure not going to miss that one. You would be contributing to a wonderful non-profit organization!

No matter what you do this weekend, I wish you a pleasant and enjoyable time!
